I have always dreamt about travelling the world and especially the African continent. In 2009, I finally found another “crazy” woman who had the same dreams – and that’s when it all started. We searched for an adequate travel companion (it just had to be a Land Cruiser) and we decided to buy a newer model (2001 Toyota Prado with airbag) as we knew that this is the only car we would have as we sold both our cars when Patsy (see Patsy) came into our lives.

Luckily my company also understood my urge to do something completely different and I was able to take a sabbatical (8 months off) to fulfill my dreams to go to Africa.

At first we talked about driving all the way down to South Africa but soon we realized that this idea might be too dangerous for two women in only one car. There are a couple of countries between Austria and South Africa where it might be a good idea to have several cars with you. Thus, we decided to ship the car down to Southern Africa and pick up our Patsy lateron down there.
